Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is a recognized international surgical specialty and it is
one of the nine specialties of dentistry. Our Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery focuses on management of minor oral surgeries and major oral surgeries like facial trauma, oral pathologies, head and neck cancers, reconstructive surgeries of face and jaw and facial cosmetic surgery. A number of activities were carried out, along with routine events in the department as part faculty and student development programs.
The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is involved in the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching program in the subject of oral and maxillofacial surgery. A total of 100 UG students per batch attend lectures and practical classes. The students are divided into smaller batches for clinical postings. We have 9 postgraduates in the department ,3 students in each year admitted for 3 year post graduate program.

Dr. Sanjay Joshi
Professor & Head
Dr. Joshi is a graduate from Govt. Dental College, Mumbai and has completed his post – graduation from the same college. He has a clinical and academic experience of more than 25 years. He has numerous publications to his credit. Currently working as Professor & Head, Post – Graduate and PhD Guide in the Dept. of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Sachin Bagade

He is a graduate from Govt. Dental College, Mumbai and a post – graduate from Pad. Dr. D.Y. Patil Dental College, Pune. He has numerous publications to his credit. Currently a Reader in the Dept. of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Terna Dental College, Navi Mumbai.
Dr. Aarti Garad

Dr. Garad is a graduate from Pad. Dr. D.Y. Patil Dental College, Navi Mumbai and a post – graduate from YMT’s Dental College, Navi Mumbai. Currently she is a Reader in the Dept. of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Charudatta Naik

Dr. Charudatta is a graduate from MGM Dental College, Navi Mumbai and a post graduate from Krishnadevaraya College of Dental Sciences, Bangalore. He is a Fellow of Indian Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (FIBOMS). He is an International board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon (FIBCSOMS). Currently he is working as a Reader in the Dept. of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. Arsalan Ansari

Dr. Ansari graduated from Terna Dental College, Navi Mumbai and has completed his post- graduation from the same college. Currently, a lecturer in the Dept. of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Mhatre completed his graduation from MGV Dental College, Nashik and his post-graduation from Yenepoya Dental College, Mangalore. Currently, a lecturer in the Dept. of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Tejasvi Dhage passed BDS in the year of 2015 from Bharti Vidyapeeth Dental College Navi Mumbai. She has joined terna in march 2019. Currently she is working as a Lecturer in the Dept. of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
